It’s your favorite LA blogger, back to share some personal anecdotes and remind you of the values behind your favorite energy drink that makes it something worth promoting.
I’m a firm believer in working hard and earning your breaks. Coming from a creative industry, I’m constantly looking for inspiration. And there’s few better means of kicking back while simultaneously fueling tomorrow’s projects than live music. The crowd, the energy, the feel of every thrum of guitar or percussion pop of drums; it’s an atmosphere, a vibe, a mental state, that gets me hyped to create something of my own.
I’m the kind of person who will jump at an opportunity to see their favorite artists, book tickets for a show months in advance, and then completely forget I had tickets until the week of. This happened recently, when I was pleasantly reminded I got to see one of my favorite artists: Jack White. (At the risk of being divisive, I’ll share I’m a big fan of rock and roll, in its many iterations.) Only problem was that it was on a weeknight.
After a full day in the office I’m rarely in the headspace or have the energy to appropriately rock-out to a musician like Jack White. I needed a drink to cut loose, to shed the weight of the day’s problems. So I splashed some spirits into my Blue Raspberry Blakestar energy drink to loosen up. There are few combinations in human history that go so well together as a cold Blakestar flavor of your choosing and vodka. Coke and rum? Blakestar has you beat! Less sugar, less calories, a cleaner drink with more flavor than the carbonated burn of soda. And more energy, so I could appreciate one of my favorite artists.
Next time you’re looking to enjoy your favorite artist and don’t want to fall asleep in the middle of their set, be sure to pop open a BlakeStar Energy Drink, and “Do what others can’t!”
Until next time,

]]>We have some very exciting news to share with you about a historic occasion which took place on September 7th, 2019. This past Saturday, the BlakeStar Energy Drink team conducted the first every BlakeStar Energy Drink Tailgate Party! So sit back and relax as we share the epic story of how we took this tailgate to the next level!
The BlakeStar team was invited and hosted by the awesome gentlemen of the Georgia Southern University chapter of Pi Kappa Phi during their home game between the Georgia Southern Eagles and the Maine Black Bears. After we ironed out the details, assembled our team, loaded down the chillers with everyone's game day favorites, and iced down cases of BlakeStar Energy Drink, it was time to hit the road.
The behemoth BlakeStar Energy Drink tailgate trailer was pulled through the night until finally coming to a stop in front of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house. After meeting with the young men of Pi Kappa Phi, it was time to heat up the smoker and get to work! While others may have been road weary and turned in for the night, our team popped the tops of some ice cold BlakeStar Energy Drinks and started preparations for the next day's festivities.
As the generators were cranked up, lights flipped on, and our favorite grilling music played, the energy started to build and exude from every member of our team. We filled the smoker with prime choice brisket, ribs, and chicken after they had been carefully seasoned in our signature blend of spices.
We awoke the next morning to a beautiful weather forecast which promised to be perfect to enjoy some Georgia Southern football while turning strangers into friends! We started off our day with meeting the members of GSU chapter of Pi Kappa Phi and introducing them to all 10 of the delicious flavors of BlakeStar Energy Drink.
As the day went on and kickoff got closer, the grills stayed hot, and the sun got hotter. It was around 3 PM when we saw that some of our new friends were starting to fade, and we knew exactly what to do. We formulated BlakeStar Energy Drink to serve a purpose and help rehydrate and energize you when you need it most. So we put our electrolytes to the test in the Georgia heat, and are happy to say that it didn't take long for our new found friends to get their second wind, thanks to sipping on some BlakeStar Energy Drink.
We were cheering the Eagles on through every quarter and were happy to see them arise victorious over their opponents at the end of the fourth! We want to extend a special thank you to our hosts, everyone who stopped by, and Georgia Southern University for having us.
We had a great time making a connection with and spreading news about BlakeStar with everyone who stopped by the tailgate party, so keep an eye out for the BlakeStar team at a tailgate near you!
Catch you next time,

]]>Allow me to introduce myself as the Blakestar LA Blogger, here to bring you a West Coast perspective on all the core values of your favorite energy drink. Today I wanna talk about working hard, specifically for your friends.
I recently started a new chapter in my life and found myself in the uncomfortable position of asking friends, specifically new friends, for help. I was moving apartments, and although I could do most of it alone, I knew I couldn’t do everything. And let me add that I am not the type of person to ask for help unless absolutely necessary.
I’ve always believed the true crucibles of friendship are the tasks you know are arduous for everyone involved. We’ve all at one point or another been asked, or in rare cases volunteered (bless you, whoever you are), to make a trip to the airport for a friend. If any of you readers live in more metropolitan areas, I’m sure you can sympathize with the soul-sucking chaos of Arrival and Departure traffic. And while airport trips can be taxing, speaking from several experiences with LAX in one of the most congested cities in the world, there’s nothing that proves a good friend is a great one like moving and assembling furniture.
Asking friends to carve out a few hours of their day, their precious weekend hours, felt like I was delivering court summons. I cashed in on favors and past debts for a sweaty, back-breaking, logistical nightmare. California heat is a dry heat, and the clear skies and beating sun, away from the pleasant breeze of the coast, transformed my apartment rooms into connected ovens. Fans were brought in, window AC units cranked to high, and blinds drawn to mitigate the heat. Water is poured, but it’s not enough. Because moving things in is only half the battle. We needed energy to keep going, to dive deeper into this heart of darkness that centered around allen wrenches and Swedish furniture instruction manuals.
Yes, this is in fact where Blakestar comes in (after unpacking enough cups for everyone to drink). You would have thought I was offering my friends sweet ambrosia from Mount Olympus. With a sample of ten flavors, everyone tried a bit of each until they settled on one they didn’t want to share (Pink Lemonade is my personal favorite at the moment). They saw the job through to the end, and now, thanks to their help I have an apartment that’s starting to look like a home.
So, when the moment inevitably comes for me to return the favor, I’ll be sure to come prepared and pick up some Blakestar Energy Drink.
Until next time,

]]>You might be having backyard bonfires in Wisconsin, hitting the Florida beaches every weekend, or in New York looking for a rooftop bar with martinis. No matter what state you're in, the location is important for a great summer party.
Whether you’re attending someone else’s party or planning your own, you must keep in mind the location. Here are some of the best locations for summer parties:
The beach is one of the best places for a summer party. A beach that allows bonfires and alcohol can make a party a bigger hit, but many beaches don't allow either. Even so, all is not lost. Plenty of beachside vacation rentals, bars, restaurants, and hotels have spaces available for parties. Just pick a beach spot that suits your group and roll with it. Don’t forget the portable speaker to play a little Bob Marley and Jack Johnson.
If you’re looking to have a BBQ with some of your closest family and friends, your local park might just be perfect. Many community parks provide grills and pavilions, making them great for providing a yummy meal and ample seating. Set up a volleyball net and bring supplies for a water balloon fight as inexpensive ways to keep guests entertained. Parks offer plenty of open space for multiple activities!
Throwing a summer party can also be as simple as setting up some lawn chairs around a fire pit and flipping burgers on the grill. Drag out a cooler full of drinks, bring supplies to make s’mores, and you’re all set. Add some extra fun by setting up a beer pong table on the porch and your guests are sure to have a good time.
Secluding yourselves somewhere in the woods allows you to make as much noise as you'd like without disturbing any neighbors. Set up some food and drinks in the cabin to avoid attracting uninvited furry guests and avoid harming the environment with food and drink packaging. Start a bonfire outside to keep your guests comfy and they'll love you for it.
A lake is another great place for a summer party, whether during the day or at night. Maybe a friend owns a lake house, maybe you want to rent one, or maybe you can find a public lake for your party. No matter how you choose one, a nice lake is perfect for swimming, drinking, and grilling out. If you have access to a boat, that's even better!
If you want to keep it simple, just block off the street you live on, set up some tents, fire up the grill, and get ready to socialize with the neighbors. Provide some fun and games for the kids and some coolers for the adults, and it’ll be the perfect family event.
Whether you’re inviting 10 people or 50, all of these ideas are great locations for hosting a summer party. Try one, or try them all! Cheers to the best summer yet!

Okay, okay, so we all know this one; you have ten cups half-full of beer, and then your and your team member have to try to bounce a sticky ping pong ball into the opposite player’s cup. If you get a ball into one of your opponents’ cups, they have to drink it, and vice versa. Everyone who’s partied knows about this game. But, it wouldn’t be a list without it, so try to spice it up a little! Add different drinks to different cups, or play with hard liquor and see which team can last the longest!
Two teams compete at a table lined on each side with upside down cups, and one upright cup full of whatever drink you have on hand — can be played with mixers, beer, or liquor. The goal is to finish the drink and move on to flicking the cups over, so they’re upright, as quickly as possible. Once one team member gets to the end, the next one can go. It’s one of those games that gets the party going, just like Pong.
This one isn’t for everyone, but it’s a ridiculous amount of fun. So you have a dice, or a spinner from a board game, and when you spin/roll, the number you land on is the number of different drinks that need to be in a shot glass. But the catch is, the people you’re playing with have to make it for you. For example: you roll a three, so you can get a mix of tequila, beer, and Coca-Cola.
This is another one of those games that everyone has played at least once, and it might not even have been with alcohol. Everyone sits in a circle — or at least in the same area — and someone starts off with saying: “Never have I ever …” and they can fill in the blanks. If you HAVEN’T, then you don’t drink, but if you HAVE, then you take a generous gulp.
These are just a few of the many popular games that most everyone loves. Games get made up all the time, so party on, be loud, be silly, and be careful!

This can come in so many different forms that they can apply to just about any one person; it can be in a note left on a mirror or door with a happy quote or an uplifting message, it can be a mantra that is muttered over and over again in times of great anxiety, or it can be a list of things that are good and the person is thankful for. It has to fit the person practicing, so if they aren’t very observant, then maybe the notes aren’t a good choice. Whatever form fits, do it!
It doesn't have to be the full-blown yoga meditation so dramatically played put on TV (but if that's your thing, then do it); it can be as simple as finding a quiet moment to mull over the day's events, or listening to a calming podcast. Meditation is simply just a form of “checking in” with oneself mentally.
This one needs to be done in moderation, but loving oneself is super important for confidence. Maybe don't go buy an expensive phone or new item, because that will quickly lead to guilt and a few bad coping mechanisms, but definitely treat the body and soul like they are a deity; praise it with a favorite snack, a movie, a nap. Small praises will go much further than big ones.
Thing is, everyone is good at something, and when they are good at something, their confidence builds up. Leave time in the day for things that make the heart happy, and, as time goes on, confidence levels will soar. Happiness and confidence are easily co-habitable; if you're happy, you're confident -- at least a little, and if you're confident, you're happy.
While this isn't guaranteed to help everyone in their unique quest for confidence, it can definitely aid a lot of people. Just remember that confidence and happiness are best friends; do what makes you happy, and you'll have the confidence you desired!
